Free Timelines

Create your own timeline by printing free, blank Timeline (pdf document) and Blank Timeline Pieces (pdf document). Make as many copies as you need for the topic your are studying, cut apart the timeline, label with the appropriate dates on the bottom, and hang your Timeline on the wall or bulletin board. As you cover the topic, have your children draw a picture on a Timeline Piece illustrating some aspect of the time period they are studying. (Or have them cut out and paste a magazine picture on a Timeline Piece.) Cut out the square Timeline Piece and paste it on the Timeline at the appropriate date.
