The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.

Welcome to the Classical Kids Network!

We are a group of homeschooling families who share resources and plan events to help educate our children. We're located in Connecticut.

About this site
Much of our website is open to the public, but we do have a private members' area with proprietary information and services. To learn more, click on the "Member Benefits" link above. If you are interested, apply for membership by clicking on the "Become a Member" link to the left.

One area you might find of particular interest is our Library — it contains resources that have proven useful to homeschoolers across the country. In the Library you will find information on packaged curricula and curriculum vendors; organizations offering legal guidance or guidance on academic challenges; books and Web sites your children might enjoy; and many other kinds of homeschooling resources.

Financial support
Membership in Classical Kids is free! We draw our financial support primarily from three sources:

Donations — Anyone can make a donation - click on the "Support us" link at left to see how.

Boxtops for Education — Boxtops with barcodes from General Mills products are collected throughout the year and submitted in the fall and spring. For each boxtop our group collects, we get 10 cents. We ask that you trim each boxtop and bundle them in packs of ten for submission. Feel free to mail them to us at our postal address.

Amazon.com — Through an arrangement with Amazon.com, we collect a small percentage of ANY purchase made there, but only when you click on the button at left to start shopping.

In addition, many of the items in our Library are available from Amazon.com. We collect a percentage of sales on those items when you purchase them directly from the links provided within our Library.
